Well, here's my first assignment for ME 10 this quarter!

This week, we had to sketch out ideas for a few inventions. My sketches are below. I've drafted ideas for two great inventions: the CoolTensils, and the ModLodica!

The CoolTensils are special utensils designed for eating cold foods, like salads or ice cream. The water inside has a high heat capacity, and combining that with the insulated handle means that the utensils stay cold much longer than their solid metal counterparts. Perfect for a hot day, or even just making your salad that tiny bit fancier.

The ModLodica is an improvement on what I consider to be close to the perfect instrument: the melodica. When you cross the expression of a wind instrument with the flexibily and chords of a piano, you get the melodica. However, I decided to add a pitch-slider that adjusts the tension on the reeds, allowing for another dimension of musicality from this instrument.

Who knows, maybe one day these inventions will become a reality!
